Nathan Followill is expecting his first child with wife Jessie Baylin.

The Kings of Leon drummer and his partner will reportedly welcome their new bundle of joy into the world in December.

The American rock band's representative confirmed the happy news to Us Weekly.

"They are two of the most excited people I know," the spokesperson exclaimed in a statement.

Nathan and Jessie - who met at a music festival in 2006 - tied the knot in November 2009 in an intimate Tennessee ceremony. They invited just close family and friends, including Hollywood star Scarlett Johansson.

Nathan's news comes just a few days after brother and fellow Kings of Leon member Caleb announced the birth of his daughter Dixie Pearl with model Lily Aldridge.

Lily reportedly gave birth on Thursday morning at Nashville's Vanderbilt University Medical Center.

The pair married in May 2011 in California. They had been dating for two years after meeting at Coachella Festival in 2007.
