Nawazuddin drops Irrfan from his acceptance speech

25th January 2014
Time and again both Nawazuddin Siddiqui and Irrfan Khan have denied any form of cold war between them. But there have been incidents which repeatedly claim otherwise.

Nawaz who recently won the Filmfare Award for Best Supporting Actor for his performance in the critically acclaimed 'The Lunchbox', surprisingly dropped his film's co-star Irrfan Khan's name from his speech.

He thanked his entire team except Irrfan who played the lead role and with whom he had the maximum scenes in the film.

As he fumbled with excitement and emotions on stage, he apologized for stuttering but it were his words that stunned the audiences.

"I want to thank Filmfare, my director, Karan Johar, UTV, Puneet, Anurag Kashyap and Nimrat Kaur," said Nawaz in his acceptance speech.

The fact that he remembered everyone right from the producers, director to his female co-star, it is hard to believe that he forgot to take Irrfan's name by mistake.

As they say, action speaks louder than words, we assume here it is the action and absence of certain words that is speaking volumes for the complexity of this cold war.

Looks like this rivalry is far from over!!!
