(Cover) - -No story type selected- - Nick Cannon claims that Mariah Carey knows "what being a woman is about" following the birth of her twins.

Mariah and her husband Nick welcomed twins Moroccan and Monroe in April, and he insists the singer has transformed since she became a mother.

The presenter also revealed that their priorities have now changed and hailed Mariah's journey from being a music superstar to mother-of-two.

"She really knows what being a woman is about now," Nick told People. "This whole journey has been eye opening, she'll tell you that. It's just the beginning, so I'm expecting it to change a little more."

Mariah and Nick married in 2008 following a whirlwind romance. Despite their age difference Nick is 30, while Mariah is 41 the pair are happier than ever together.

Even though Nick is busy presenting America's Got Talent and performing stand-up, he refuses to shirk his parenting duties.

"[I am] growing every day and knowing that I have to be an example for two lives," he added.

The star also plans to tweak his stand up routine and base it on his experiences as a father. "It's going to be all about the kids," he explained. "I'll be conscious of what I do, but I still gotta be a little edgy." (C) Cover Media
