(Cover) - EN Showbiz - Mel C is in high spirits about the release of her new single Rock Me.

The former Spice Girl took to social networking site Twitter to announce when the song will be available to download.

In her excitement, the singer seemed to have mixed up the European release dates and had to correct herself.

"My mistake, released in Germany, Austria and Switzerland on Friday!! And available internationally on iTunes from 26th(Sunday!)," she wrote.

Mel, whose real name is Melanie Chisholm, has released four albums as a solo artist since the Spice Girls split in 2007.

From 2009 2010, the 37-year-old also starred in critically acclaimed musical Blood Brothers.

The mother-of-one is now set to release her fifth album The Sea, out in September, with Rock Me being the first release from the new record.
