(Cover) - EN Showbiz - Nicolas Cage's son has reportedly been admitted to rehab after being "out of his mind" on painkillers.

Nicolas' son Weston, 20, posted a slew of bizarre updates this week on his Twitter account. Shocked and disturbed by the messages, Nicolas travelled to West Hollywood rehabilitation centre KLEAN on Friday to admit his son into the facility, a source told RadarOnline.

Weston has a history of substance abuse. Many of his disturbing posts seem to be fuelled by intoxication, which deeply troubled Nicolas.

"Came to a little while ago. Doc didn't put me to sleep. Gave me local anesthesia. Got a prescript. Was outta my mind on pain killers. (sic)" Weston's tweet read Thursday.

His painkillers confession was immediately followed by a cocaine fuelled observation.

"Giant cloud memory. At one point I believe I flew. Snorting coke. I am a vacuum. (sic)" Weston's tweet read.

Weston's messages escalated just hours later. Apparently Weston had a brutal run-in with a hound later in the day.

"Going to retrieve the dog I killed last night. Hid'im in a bush. 2 houses down. Twitching. Dizzy. Gunna perform an autopsy. (sic)"

Nicolas' representatives have not yet commented on the matter. (C) Cover Media
