(Cover) - EN Showbiz - Nicole Kidman says her husband Keith Urban nudged her out of the nest and convinced her to return to work.
The actress received a Golden Globe nomination for her performance in Rabbit Hole, in which she plays a woman called Becca whose son is killed in a tragic accident.
Nicole loved the script, but wasnt sure if she should take on the role because her two-year-old daughter Sunday Rose was so young when shooting began. However, her husband, musician Keith Urban, insisted the project was too good to refuse.
He was the one who really wanted me to go and make this film because, you know, Sunday was a year old when this whole film came together, and I was like, Hmmm, I dont know if I can go do this now, and he was the one who gently nudged me out of the nest, she laughed to E!
Keith revealed he is very supportive of his wifes career and he loved the premise for Rabbit Hole. He was adamant it was a great movie for her to get involved in, adding he believes it is important for Nicole to tell certain stories.
The 43-year-old actress enjoyed working on the film and felt an immediate connection with her character. Nicole is thrilled with how it turned out and feels blessed to have been involved.
I was drawn to it, who knows why we are drawn to roles but the minute I read it I thought I could play it, she added. It just hit me in such a place, it was a wonderfully written role and it was so emotional. It was a gift of a role. (C) Cover Media
