(Cover) - EN Showbiz - Lewis Hamilton says he wants to "do it right" when it comes to marrying Nicole Scherzinger.

Earlier this month, Nicole's father Alfonso Valiente revealed the pair were engaged, but the sexy singer later denied his claims. Formula One racing driver Lewis has now explained he is very happy with Nicole, but they have no plans to tie the knot yet.

"We are not engaged and there will be no wedding in the near future," he is quoted as saying by German magazine Gala. "If we marry we'll have to do it right. But at the moment I live, eat, drink and sleep only for the Formula One championship. And Nicole takes her job at X-Factor and her work for her new album very seriously, too."

Lewis and Nicole were left bemused recently after her father said he was thrilled by their engagement, describing the British driver as a "really nice guy". Nicole wasted no time in dismissing the speculation via her Twitter account.

"Lewis and I woke up this morning and read we were engaged! Sorry to disappoint u all but its not true:) (sic)," the 33-year-old star wrote.

Lewis has also revealed he and Nicole who have been dating on and off for around four years are currently focusing on making a new home together.

"We are building a house at the moment," he added. "And the whole interior decoration is from Germany." (C) Cover Media
