Ravibabu is at it again, with yet another 'youthful film' filled with characters who seek love, parents who are either too friendly with their children or too strict with them, heartburns between youngsters and finally how they realize things.

There is no novelty that you see in ‘Nuvvilla’, but still you get a fresh feel while watching it courtesy, the casting. 90 per cent of the actors in the film are new, but take the film to another level. Hence a tried and tested story gets a new look.

The story is about three friends Anand (Ajay), Mahesh (Avish) and Raju (Praad Barvi) - who work as pizza delivery boys to earn some money before settling in life, and their relationships.

While Anand (Ajay) falls for Archana (Yami Gowtham), who is in love with cricketer Vishnu (Vijay Sai), Mahesh (Avish), an aspiring model loves Madhavi (Sarayu) but they soon break-up over a petty issue.

The other pal Raju (Prasad Barvi), a musician, who hates his childhood friend Rani (Ramya) ends up marrying her. The rest of Nuvvila is about how these youngsters realize their true love.

Almost all lead players who are newcomers deliver a performance worth noticing and the director should be appreciated for that. Ajay and Ramya, however, are the most promising amongst the cast. Prasad too was great with his comic timing and steals the show. The film also has guest appearances by several music directors including Keeravani, Koti, Chakri, RP Patnaik, and Kalyani Malik, who do a decent job.

The scenes in the first half are fresh and young. Today’s youth will totally connect with the lingo used and would enjoy watching the film. However, the extended gay comedy track in the second half becomes deterrent for the flow of the story. This is a typical example of how the show is spoiled due to a few scenes. The gay jokes are a bit too much and irritate after a point. But what’s worth commending is that despite being made on a low budget, the director hasn’t compromised on the quality. Also, the way Ravi Babu introduces his characters is quite interesting.

Music is by Shekar Chandra is a big strength to Nuvvila, while cinematography by Sudhakar Reddy supports the theme. Despite Ravibabu lacing the script with humour and emotions all through, Nuvvila can be liked by youngsters alone. And there seems to be no problem as long as the youth alone is the target of the director.
