Yet another chartbuster has come under the spotlight for copyright infringement. While 'Dabangg 2' promises to carry every factor of 'Dabangg', it has also inherited the copyright issue which was earlier slammed on 'Munni Badnam Hui' and it is now hindering the musical success of 'Pandey Ji Bajaye Seeti'.

The song which has become popular in the last few days, has been accused of being a rip off, by yesteryear lyricist-producer Shailendra's family. His granddaughter Priyanka Shaily Shailendra claims that the song is inspired by the track 'Chalat Musafir' that was composed by the duo Shankar-Jaikishan for her grandfather's production 'Teesri Kasam' that released in 1966.

She adds that the makers of 'Dabangg 2' should've at least accredited the original composers and the producers of the team. In her effort to get recognition, the team has sent a legal notice to the producers and associates of the film. "There's definitely an issue of copyright infringement. No consent was taken from the family. So, we have raised the issue that some acknowledgement be given to Shailendra and Shankar-Jaikishan. It's primarily about safeguarding and protecting the legacy of the legends who created such beautiful songs," said Priyanka in her justification.

Composed by Sajid-Wajid, the 'Dabangg 2' composers claim that they have used folk music and not any film's music, "Our lawyer has replied to the legal notice. We've used a folk tune, which is a national property and brought it out for today's generation," stated Sajid.

While the issue is yet to be resolved, the film is all set to release this Friday, December 21.
