Johnny Depp and Vanessa Paradis are reportedly arguing about where to live and may have already split.

The pair have been dating for 14 years but there has been intense speculation that their romance is on the rocks lately.

It's now been claimed living arrangements are causing tension, with Johnny keen to settle in America for the sake of his career.

"Vanessa hates LA and wants to return to Paris. But Johnny is apparently refusing to be tied down, and wants to remain in the US," a source told the British edition of Grazia magazine.

The pair have two children together and although they have never married have remained devoted to each other.

However, new reports suggest they may actually have called time on their romance several years ago.

"There have been rumours of tensions between them for a long time," a source explained to the publication. "They've apparently been struggling to make things work. Some people are saying that their relationship ended two years ago. However, there has never been any announcement."

People magazine also claims the two stars have already parted ways, although there seems to be no further information about what caused the relationship breakdown.

"It's so sad," one insider told the publication.
