Everyone who has seen Paranormal Activity 1 & 2 maybe has one question in mind- what new will they show this time in Paranormal Activity 3? You might’ve guessed it right… Yes, the answer is nothing! Paranormal Activity 3 directed by Henry Joost and Ariel Schulmanis unnecessarily quick paced and apart from a few scary shots nothing amazes, astounds or even scares, for that matter.

The story is from a long, long time ago, i.e. it is set in 1988. The Happy Rey Family consisting of the Father Daniel Rey (Brian Boland), mother Julie (Lauren Bittner) and their two daughters Kristi and Katie. The youngest daughter befriends a ghost, an invisible resident of the Rey House. The ghost initially signals his displeasure through automatic door shutting, the switching on & off of lights, the breaking things and then later it slowly goes on to doing more serious things like lifting people mid-way in the air, pulling them while they are trying to run away and so on. The movie is the same old Paranormal Activity 1 & 2 all over again, with the usual home video taping; but this one gets over quicker and the ghost is a little bit more innovative with his stunts.

A few of the ghost scenes and the scare scenes were really good and the effects given were superb. What lacked was originality and freshness in the script. Acting-wise no one had much scope but how much ever role there was, the cast did complete justice to it.

If anyone comes from behind and takes you off-guard, you are bound to get scared and such stunts are used in the movie to scare the audience.

Overall the movie is worth missing. If you haven't already seen the previous movies from this Paranormal series, then don’t go for this one unnecessarily to waste your time. And if you have already seen the previous movies, this one is no different and hence, no need to watch it.
