(Cover) - EN Showbiz - Paris Hilton has intensified her security measures following the arrest of an intruder in her Malibu home.
The American socialite was enjoying the Independence Day weekend on Monday when L.A. County Sheriff's deputies arrested James Rainford.
Paris, who has already had a number of run-ins with the suspect, has upped her security after feeling vulnerable following the latest incident.
The star, who reportedly watched the scene unfold from her balcony, has hired four new armed guards to "patrol the beach house 24/7 for the rest of the summer", according to US website TMZ.
Paris - who previously insisted crime in the beach community wasn't an issue - has also installed a new state-of-the-art security system in her home, which features "multiple cameras and motion detectors throughout the property".
James was arrested after sneaking into her property in Hollywood in October last year, and he also attacked Paris' ex-boyfriend Cy Waits outside court in April.
According to the L.A. police department, the intruder was arrested for violating a protective order which meant he should have been keeping 200 yards away from the heiress. (C) Cover Media
