The British star, who now performs concerts as a solo singer, was seen shopping with his girlfriend Nancy Shevell at the Four Seasons Spa in Washington DC yesterday.

The pair tried on lots of different facial creams, which he also enjoyed a lot because their scent was so sweet.

We're going to be the best-smelling people in town, the New York Post reported Paul as saying after he experimented with different products.

The star had just received a Kennedy Center Honor award and was celebrating by buying his favourite beauty product.

The star and his partner stacked up on expensive creams, reportedly spending a hoard of cash on the collection.
