Paula Patton has gushed about working with Tom Cruise and says he is on one of the most "fearless" people she knows.
The Hollywood actress spoke to Cover Media at the UK premiere of Mission: Impossible Ghost Protocol last night where she recalled watching Tom perform death-defying stunts for his role as agent Ethan Hunt.
Paula stars as Jane Carter, a member of Hunt's team, in the latest movie from the hit franchise and said she was in awe when Tom dangled from the Burj Khalifa skyscraper in Dubai, which is the tallest building in the world.
The mother to 18-month-old Julian Fuego confessed that she would not dream of performing such a dangerous stunt herself.
"I wish I was cool enough to say yes [I would have done it too] but I'm not! I'd never do that!" she laughed.
"I was praying for him because it was quite intense. He blows your mind, because he's hanging from the tallest building in the world, and he's got this enormous smile on his face! He's meant to do this he's one of the most fearless people I've ever met.
"At the beginning of the scene I was pretty far away from the window, and I was the only one who didn't have a harness on because my dress was too tight. I just had a stunt man holding my leg with a rope.
"And then by the sixth take, I was so close to the window, and a little bit over it, that I actually saw Tom, and he was like Hey Paula, how are you doing?'
"It was thrilling. And in those moments, you really feel like you're a spy. It's when you walk away and say Oh my God, what did I just do?'"
Paula, who is married to singer Robin Thicke, said Tom wasn't just great when the cameras were rolling but behind the scenes too.
"It was an amazing experience to work with Tom," she said. "Those are the moments you dream of, to work with someone of that calibre so you can learn from them.
"And then what's really special is that he's just got a great heart, and he's one of the hardest working men I've ever met.
"And very generous in that he wants to share the spotlight with everyone, and wants to make everyone shine, like myself, Simon [Pegg] and Jeremy Renner."
