(Cover) - EN Showbiz - A man has been arrested on suspicion of trying to burgle Tom Cruise's Beverly Hills property.

The intruder was spotted climbing the fence surrounding the luxury mansion in a bid to gain entry on Sunday night.

According to the police report, he was stopped with a taser by an on-duty security officer.

"The Beverly Hills authorities were reportedly notified sometime after 8pm that a possible burglar was on the property. Police told CBS2/KCAL9 that an individual had been detained' for trespassing," The Hollywood Reporter writes.

The Beverly Hills Police Department has not confirmed whether the unidentified intruder managed to break into the house or not.

It is believed that neither Tom nor any of his family members were present at the property when the incident occurred.

The actor reportedly bought the 10,000-square-foot house, which boasts seven bedroom and nine baths, a tennis court and swimming pool, with ex-wife Katie Holmes for $30.5 million just six months after they were married. (C) Cover Media
