Pete Wentz believes that his son may have inherited his musical ability.

The Fall Out Boy musician and ex-wife Ashlee Simpson have three-year-old Bronx together.

In his toddlerhood, Bronx is taking a keen interest in playing with instruments.

"Bronx has a drum set and a giant keyboard - and he sang in his school's holiday show," Pete gushed to Life & Style magazine. "He's a big Bob Marley fan!"

Pete has an incredibly busy diary. As owner of Decaydance Records and member of numerous bands the musician must be exacting with his scheduling.

Although he has many professional obligations to honour, Pete will not forfeit time with his son over the holidays for any reason.

"I'm going to be splitting my time between Miami and Las Vegas," he explained. "And then heading home to hang out with my favourite little dude: Bronx!"

With his divorce from Ashlee finalised last month, Pete is looking for a fresh start. Immersing himself in work, Pete will be performing with his band the Black Cards at the Orange Drive Miami Beach Music Festival next week.

He is elated to be engrossed in music.

"Sometimes I feel music inspires life," Pete said. "Everyone has their own soundtrack."

Pete and Ashlee's marriage ended last month when their divorce was finalised by a Los Angeles judge on November 22.

The couple cited "irreconcilable differences" as the reason for the breakdown of their marriage, but have remained friends since their split.

They announced they were separating in February just three years after tying the knot.

Pete is currently dating model Meagan Camper.

Ashlee is in a relationship with Boardwalk Empire actor Vincent Piazza.
