(Cover) - EN Showbiz - Portia de Rossi says Ellen DeGeneres made her completely change her outlook on life.
The actress has recorded an interview with her wife of two years talk show host Ellen - for Thursdays episode of The Ellen DeGeneres Show.
In the intimate discussion, Portia discussed her book Unbearable Lightness: A Story of Loss and Gain, in which she recounts her battle with an eating disorder. Portia thanks Ellen for giving her a newfound confidence, although she admits to still being self-conscious.
"Ellen has completely changed the way I look at life. She has made me not worry about what other people think. I'm still working on that, I have to be honest. She has taught me that who I am is perfectly good enough...that I don't have to pretend to be anything other than who I am, and that's been the most incredible gift that she's given me," gushed Portia.
Portia previously told talk show host Oprah Winfrey she once consumed only 300 calories per day in a bid to lose weight. Now the beautiful actress finally understands she doesnt need to be smaller to look good, and has come to the conclusion people are designed to be a certain size.
"When I look in the mirror today I really do accept myself from head to toe. This is exactly the weight I'm supposed to be. I realised it's taking me a long time - you can't fit a size 8 foot into a size 6 shoe," she told her wife.
Ellen told Portia wife she thinks shes perfect during the recording. (C) Cover Media
