(Cover) - EN Showbiz - Fergie has spoken out about her battle with addiction, revealing she is not completely sober.

The Black Eyed Peas singer has cleaned up her life after an addiction to crystal meth, but says she still enjoys drinking alcohol. She is now focused on her career and is happily married to actor Josh Duhamel and feels her life is back on track.

Im not claiming to be sober, Fergie said in an interview with the US edition of Glamour magazine. I think that that would be misleading. I drink alcohol. My father has a vineyard, and [the wine is] really delicious, by the way.

Fergie has confessed she feels lucky to still be alive after being consumed by addiction. She also accepts many health professionals would not approve of her drinking wine. However, the 35-year-old singer feels healthy and stronger than ever.

Fergie believes it is important to trust your instincts and never give up on achieving your goals.

"Anyway, for most addicts, they would advise never to have any sort of substance, she explained. I just have my own journey, and I am very blessed to this day to be alive.

There were periods of my life when a lot of people didnt believe in me. I still had faith in myself. I really had to ask myself life questions. Where do I see myself in five years? Create a ladder for yourself, and walk up the steps. Climb that ladder. (C) Cover Media
