(Cover) - EN Showbiz - Britains Prince William and Kate Middleton will leave their wedding ceremony in the same gold carriage which carried his mother Princess Diana.Once the newlyweds have exchanged vows at Westminster Abbey in London on April 29, they will be taken to Buckingham Palace in the mode of transport used when Williams father Prince Charles famously wed Diana in 1981. The lavish horse-drawn 1902 State Landau carriage is open top and organisers are hoping for a sunny day, so the happy couple can wave to well-wishers lining the streets. If it rains, William and Kate will leave Westminster Abbey in an 1881 Glass Coach instead which Diana travelled in when she was on her way to her wedding. Its been a lot of preparation, and obviously its just nice to be part of the big day, Martin Oates, who maintains the carriage, told British newspaper The Daily Mirror. The carriages were unveiled at Buckingham Palace yesterday. It was also revealed that Kate and her father Michael Middleton will travel to Westminster Abbey in a Rolls Royce Phantom VI. This is the same car that was attacked by rioters when Charles and his wife Camilla, the Duchess of Cornwall, were travelling to an event in December. The car which has since been repaired has a glass dome so royal fans will be able to catch a glimpse of Kates dress. After the couple leave the church, their bridal party will follow behind in horse-drawn coaches.Williams younger brother Harry and Kates sister Pippa Middleton, who are acting as best man and maid of honour respectively, will be in the coach immediately behind the couple. The bridesmaids and page boys will then follow in two carriages. The fourth carriage will transport Queen Elizabeth II and Prince Philip, while Charles and Camilla will travel with Kates parents.
