R. Madhavan turns down Vettai remake

2nd March 2012

Madhavan, who played one of the lead roles in Lingusamy directed "Vettai", has turned down an offer to reprise his character in the Hindi remake of the film, which too is to be helmed by the same director.

The actor wrote on his microblogging page: 'I never said I was doing the film now yaar.' He added: 'Heyy No folks. I have not confirmed any film now. Have to get my knee treated first and get back in super shape. Then I will decide.'

It is to be noted that Madhavan, in a similar fashion, refused to be part of "Nanban", a remake of Hindi hit "Three Idiots", when he was approached the do the role made popular by him in the original version.

Following this, Srikanth played the role of Venkatramakrishnan, an aspiring wildlife photographer, who is forced to join an engineering college by his parents.
