(Cover) - EN Showbiz - Rachel Weisz has admitted she was a bad student until an inspirational teacher changed her life.

The 40-year-old actress has had a hugely successful Hollywood career, and is famed for her intelligent mind as much as her stunning good looks.

Rachel is extremely well educated, having been a student at Britains prestigious Cambridge University, although she admits for a while she didnt think her life would go anywhere and attributes the help of an old school teacher in turning things around.

She was an English Literature teacher and I had a transformative experience being taught by her at 16, Rachel told the British edition of OK! magazine.

She believed in me when the other teachers didnt. I went on to study English at university. I was a bad student until I met her and she inspired me.

Rachel has fond memories of her time at school, confessing it was pretty posh. The star thinks one of the most important things a teacher can do is encourage students by proving they have faith in them. The talented actress thinks this notion extends to all walks of life.
