Being a filmmaker, you have to do a lot of other things apart from making the film as well. That includes them convincing the stars to agree to certain clauses and sometimes also help them get into the skin of the character.

That's what filmmaker turned producer Anurag Kashyap recently did to convince actress Radhika Apte to go without make-up for her next.

She who has been signed to play the lead in Anurag's next production that is helmed by director, Harshavardhan Kulkarni, was shocked to discover that she had to face the camera without any layer of makeup.

Though she confirms that she was aware of the de-glamorous nature of her character but she was unaware that the character would be deprived of basic touch-up too.

Radhika was not convinced with this idea even as Harshavardhan tried his best to explain to her. She refused to shoot and it was then that Anurag Kashyap had to step in to talk to her.

"Harshavardhan was very particular about my character's appearance, and the look was designed without any use of cosmetics. Obviously, everyone was being nice and tried to talk me into it," she said.
