Radiohead is "dealing with the grief and shock ensuing from a terrible" stage collapse.

The accident that occurred before their concert in Toronto last week killed a crewmember and injured three others.

In light of the tragedy the band has decided to postpone a few of their upcoming shows.

"Whilst we all are dealing with the grief and shock ensuing from this terrible accident there are also many practical considerations to deal with & consequently we have to try and reschedule [some concerts]," the band wrote to Cover Media in a press release.

Performances in Rome, Florence, Bologna, Codroipo, Italy, Berlin, Germany and St-Triphon, France will be postponed. The shows were originally scheduled to take place between June 30 and July 9.

Radiohead appreciates fans' support in this trying time.

"We aim to announce the new dates for these shows on Wednesday 27th of June and will also supply information on how to obtain refunds on tickets if you cannot come to the show on the new date," the band continued.

"We will make every effort to offer the fans the very best show possible under the circumstances thanks for your understanding and support."

The incident happened an hour before gates were due to open for the 40,000 sell-out show. The man who died was in his 30s and had been involved in setting up the stage. He became trapped under the rubble and was pronounced dead at the scene.
