Clinton Eastwood, famously known as 'Clint' turns 82 today. The American actor, director, producer, composer and politician has contributed to over 50 films in his entire career, being recognized with multiple awards and nominations for his work in film, television and music.
Eastwood who attended high school and senior high, later transferred to Oakland Technical High School where the drama teachers encouraged him to enroll in school plays, but he wasn't interested. Eastwood then began a one-year stint as a lifeguard for United States.
Clint started his acting career from the television serial 'Rawhide', and then there was no stepping back. He rose to fame when he played the character of 'Man with no name' in Sergio Leone's 'Dollar Trilogy', 'A Fistful of Dollars', 'For a Few Dollars More', and 'The Good, the Bad and the Ugly'. These roles along with several others made him an enduring cultural icon of masculinity.
In the movie, 'Unforgiven' and 'Million Dollar Baby', Eastwood won Academic Awards for Best Director and Producer for the Best Picture, as well as receiving nominations for the Best Actor. He has starred in many other movies including 'Play Misty for Me', 'Thunderbolt and Lightfoot', 'The Outlaw Josey Wales', 'Escape from Alcatraz', 'Tightrope' and many more.
