Rajinikanth denies having signed an Ad

17th November 2011

Rajinikanth has issued a denial to the media reports which claimed that he would act in advertisement film for the Union Health Ministry for creating awareness on child health and malnutrition.

In a statement, Sudhakar, Rajinikanth's personal assistant and spokesperson said, "Rajinikanth has not signed any agreement related to the advertisement. And he has not given any commitment to anyone in this regard."

Last week, reports claimed that Rajinikanth and Aamir Khan are doing the said ad film. The ad film was a part of the Health Ministry's special awareness advertisement campaign about the malnutrition of children, as per the reports.

According to a source, Rajinikanth has stopped endorsing any product long ago, but when he was told that the said ad film was for an awareness programme, he had readily agreed. "After knowing about Rajinikanth's approval, even Aamir Khan had given a green signal. The campaign consists of television commercials, newspaper ads and hoardings," added the source.
