Dhanush, Shruti Haasan, Aishwarya Dhanush and music director Annirudh visited Radio Mirchi and Big FM to launch 'Kolaveri', a single from the forthcoming movie 3.

"Shruti and I share an equal amount of screen time in the film. While shooting I had an ample amount of free time, which i utilized to write some dummy lyrics for fun. Surprisingly, everybody liked it and so we recerded the song with the same lyrics," said Dhanush, who also sang the said song.

Aishwarya (Rajinikanth's elder daughter), is quite excited about the film. "The rough cut, which was out on the internet a few days ago, is already a hit and we are happy to release the official version now. The feedback is very encouraging," she said.

Debut music director Annirudh, who is still in his early twenties, has composed the song. A few days ago, a rough cut of the song was leaked on the internet. To cover it up, the makers have released 'Kolaveri' as a single track on Sony Music.
