It was earlier reported how the guest appearances' list got bigger for Shahrukh's 'Ra.One' when Rajinikanth’s name was added to it. After Priyanka Chopra and Sanjay Dutt, it was Rajinikanth who was roped in for a cameo by film’s lead star cum producer Shah Rukh Khan.

The much talked about scene was recently shot in Mumbai. The shooting took place in Subhash Ghai’s Whistling Wood’s studios and considering Rajini’s critical health the shooting was completed within the given time.

Rajini’s daughter Soundarya too flew down with him along with a team of technicians to make sure everything works out without any inconvenience to her ailing father. Shah Rukh too was quite cordial when it came to shooting with Rajini and he made sure that everything around, gave the superstar a sense of comfort. Renowned technician Resul Pookutty stated that the day was quite an iconic one as for him having SRK and Rajini in the same frame was a historic moment. Shah Rukh had stated earlier that the special cameo by Rajini sir was actually a tribute to him.
