It's a high point for upcoming star Rajkummar Rao's career. 

After picking up the Filmfare Critics Award for Best Actor for his performance in 'Shahid', he garnered accolades for 'Queen'. And now he has bagged such a coveted offer that he couldn't have asked for anything better. 

Rajkummar Rao has been signed for Ramesh Sippy's comeback film. 

The filmmaker who gave the industry a film like 'Sholay' has been planning to return to filmmaking for quite some time now. 

He who has locked in a script had shortlisted names of some newcomers for the lead role. 

Rajkummar Rao and Pulkit Samrat were on the same list. But Sippy was stunned by Rajkumar's performance in 'Queen' and after watching the film he immediately decided to sign the actor as his main lead. 

The film will be a test for both Ramesh and Rajkummar. While Ramesh Sippy will yearn to prove his mettle yet again, Rajkummar will have to fit in a genre that he hasn't tried yet. 

The film is a sweet rom-com where mother-daughter fall for the same guy. While Rajkummar plays the man in demand, the two leading ladies are yet to be finalized. 

Rajkummar exclaims that he cannot believe his luck. "It's an honour for me to get an opportunity to work with a legend like Mr. Sippy at this point in my career. I've been raised on a healthy diet of his films and I am prepared to dedicate myself completely to the role," he said.
