Recently, during the launch of Rahman's authorized biography, he expressed his thanks to filmmakers Subash Ghai, Ashutosh Gowariker, Ram Gopal Varma, Rakesh Om Prakash Mehra and others, for giving him good opportunities in Hindi cinema. Moved by his gratitude, Ram Gopal Varma got the idea of making a sequel to 'Rangeela' and it will have his favorite A.R. Rahman scoring the music.
