It's the day she has been waiting for years and it's finally arriving, as sources reveal that
Rani Mukerji is all set to get married in January 2014 to the heir of
Yashraj films,
Aditya Chopra.
Rani's illegitimate relationship with whom she lovingly calls 'Adi' started when he was still married to Payal. Infact, Rani was the reason that led to Payal walking out of the marriage. The late
Yash Chopra and his wife Pamela however were always on Payal's side and they even let her design the entire Yashraj studios. Aditya was keen on having Rani on YRF International, but his parents didn't approve of his plans.
Aditya filed for divorce in 2009, however, he was shocked by the amount Payal demanded as alimony. If sources are to be believed she had asked for Rs.25 crores. Aditya was not ready to pay that amount upfront and the divorce case was pending for almost 3 years.
In the meanwhile, Rani was losing her patience and was pressurizing Aditya to settle the divorce.
Now, sources say that Aditya is ready to pay that amount over a period of time, so the alimony will be in ‘installments’ and not upfront. Over the period of time, the tension between Rani and Payal has eased and now with dad Yash Chopra not around, Aditya has gained complete control of Yashraj. Mother Pamela is also left with no choice but to approve Rani's relationship and brother Uday has also given his consent.
With Rani's father not keeping well, the actress is keen on tying the knot as soon as possible. However, astrologers have removed the Mahurat for ‘2014’ so the couple will have to wait for a few months and hope this time its for real.
