Sooraj Pancholi met
Jiah Khan on Facebook and the two became good friends. However, 10 months ago Sooraj got a message asking for help as her hand was bleeding.
While Sooraj was not in town, he sent his domestic help and arranged a doctor to take care of Jiah right away. After a few days of staying silent, Jiah opened up to Sooraj and talked about her dark past of being raped by an older man when she was barely 14 and how her father had disowned her.
Despite knowing about her bitter history, Sooraj started dating Jiah and in fact became her support system.
Sooraj also shared that his dad was not happy about him dating Jiah as she had a ‘sexy’ image in the industry. But after meeting her, he was convinced that she was a nice girl.
However, the relationship was not always a happy one as Jiah had trust issues and even at times accompanied Sooraj to his classes. Lack of trust and Jiah's mom not approving of their relationship were the two things that led Sooraj to break-up with the actress.
Sooraj met Jiah for the last time on Sunday after clearing that it would be the last time they would meet as he could not handle the trauma again.
Jiah did call him on Monday, the evening she committed suicide and expressed that she wanted to meet him; however Sooraj reveals that he responded by saying a No and said 'Let's not do this'.
Sooraj admits to missing Jiah whom he calls 'Nafisa' and says he stills loves her.
