(Cover) - EN Showbiz - Raquel Welch has lept to the defence of Lindsay Lohan.

The 70-year-old Hollywood legend says that despite the Mean Girl's behaviour and run-ins with the law she should be given a break.

Speaking to AARP VIVA magazine, Raquel says that people should stop having such an intense interest in Lindsay's personal life.

"I'm the antidote to Lindsay Lohan," the One Million Years B.C. actress said. "I know she misbehaves terribly, but sometimes it just seems like it's open season on her."

Raquel says she has empathy for up and coming actresses that lose themselves under the pressure of Hollywood.

"[In Hollywood] it's, My self esteem, my self-this, my self-that'. Believe me, I've been there," she shared.

"I'm an actress. At one point you get nauseous with it and I think, I have to take my mind off myself!"

Lindsay recently added to her legal woes by filing a lawsuit against rapper Pitbull for mentioning her name in his hit single Give Me Everything. (C) Cover Media
