Release Of Sindubad Stalled Indefinitely

6th January 2011

January 6, 2011 (Sampurn Wire): Kollywood thriller Sindubad has fallen into trouble again. After failing to complete the filming schedule inspite of the shooting of Sindubad starting towards the end of 2009, it has been announced that the release of Sindubad has been put on hold for an indefinite period. Originally set for a 2010 release, Sindubad had gone on floors during the last half of 2009 but the makers failed to return for a second schedule of shooting and since then, there have been repetitive delays in the release of Sindubad.

A psychological thriller, Sindubad was one of the most awaited films from the Tamil film industry last year. Actors Vikram and Swathi are the lead pair of Sindubad and Selvaraghavan is its director. According to reports from sources associated with the Kollywood film, film-maker Selvaraghavan failed to provide the final script required for the second leg of shooting to actor Vikram. Quite expectedly, Vikram was angry about working among unprofessional people and therefore showed Selvaraghavan the door.

Now that there are differences between the Sindubads lead actor and its director, there are huge doubts as to when the film will go on floors again. The initial phase of filming work took place in the Leh and Ladakh regions of India, that phase being over, the Tamil audience will now be waiting for the psychological thriller to go on floors in the future.
