(Cover) - EN Showbiz - Ricky Martin claims hes fitter than many other singers who are younger than him.

The Puerto Rican singer turns 40 this year, but insists that he still feels full of energy. The star who released his most recent album Msica + Alma + Sexo earlier this year laughs at younger artists who complain about gruelling tour schedules, because they should be in good shape.

Ricky says he is constantly thriving for more throughout his music career.

Im on stage now with people who are 21 years old and I feel better than them! Theyre complaining, like, Oh, my back, and Im like, Give me a break! he said in a newspaper interview. Its been an amazing life. And Ive been on stage since Im 12, 11, and I feel like its only the beginning, I want more.

Rickys most recent album saw the star reunite with producer-composer Desmond Child, who wrote his breakthrough hit, Livin La Vida Loca. He loves working with the talented music guru as he understands the message he wants to put across in his records.

Desmond Childs my maestro. I felt really comfortable with him. [I said,] Lets be very specific about the emotions were working on as were writing the music. And he said, OK, lets bring it on, where are you at? My life is full of well, gratitude. Thats really what Im presenting on the album. Its been a very powerful year for me. (C) Cover Media
