Rishi Kapoor has replaced Shahrukh Khan in his own home production! Sounds weird? Read further! Karan Johar and Shahrukh Khan's co-produced film 'Student of the Year', will be Karan's first directorial film that will not have Shahrukh in it as an actor.
Karan had specially written a strict principal's character for Shahrukh in his film 'SOTY'. At a certain point of time, Shahrukh and Karan both realized that the role of a middle-aged strict principal might contrast Shahrukh's reel and real image. Hence they thought of Rishi Kapoor ,who could perfectly take up the job, after all his last hit 'Do Dooni Chaar' too had him in a professor's role. Rishi Kapoor has apparently agreed to take up the role, forgetting the ugly spat with Karan Johar, post the indecent Sonam-Deepika controversy on Kjo's chat show.
So now instead of Shahrukh, Rishi Kapoor will be seen in Karan's film 'Student of the Year' that marks the debut of three newcomers namely David Dhawan's son Varun Dhawan, Mahesh Bhatt-Soni Razdan's daughter Aliya Bhatt and Siddharth Malhotra.
