October 12, 2010 (Sampurn Wire): Rituparna Sengupta is the reigning queen of the Bengali film industry and now she has ventured into Bollywood as well. The actress has previously walked on ramps for famous fashion designers of Kolkata. Recently, Rituparna was roped in for the launch show of a retro graphics company at a popular city hotel on Mahalaya. Rituparna looked stunning in her outfit at the fashion show.

Aftab Shivdasani was among the audience and watched Rituparna walking down the ramp. The Bollywood hunk was all praises for Rituparna Sengupta and praised a lot about her ramp walk. The theme of Mahalaya was nicely conceptualized at the fashion show. Sanskrit terms related to the products were used during the fashion show, which that added to the ambiance.

Madhumanti Maitra, the anchor of the show said that Mahalaya is the perfect time to launch new products in Kolkata. Rituparna seemed very excited about her ramp walk and after the show was over, she interacted with Aftab Shivdasani as well. As the Bengalis are trying to go global, Mahalaya still plays a very important role in their life. Since Mahalaya marks the beginning of the most auspicious ten days of the Bengali calendar, it is a great time for a brand launch.
