Royal newlyweds happy with honeymoon delay

(Cover) - EN Showbiz - Reports that Britains Prince William and his new wife Catherine postponed their honeymoon over security fears have been dismissed.

It had been widely expected that the newlyweds, who are now known as the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, would embark on a two-week vacation abroad to celebrate their nuptials which took place at Westminster Abbey on Friday.

Yesterday the pair left Buckingham Palace in a helicopter which flew them off for a mystery weekend break.

Some reports emerged that the couple had decided to delay travelling abroad due to security worries, although Clarence House has confirmed this was not the case.

"It was the couple's choice to delay the honeymoon," a spokesperson is quoted as saying to Sky News.

It is thought that after spending a romantic long weekend together Prince William will return to work as an RAF Search and Rescue pilot next week. The pair are said to be looking forward to a relaxing weekend after all the excitement of Friday. Friend to the Middleton family Millie Pilkington took informal photos of the newlyweds during their wedding reception at Buckingham Palace on Friday night and has revealed how buzzing the pair had been.

"They were drawn to each other magnetically throughout the day, she said when speaking at Clarence House yesterday.

"Their love for each other was so evident. Everyone could see it.

"They just looked like they had been made for each other.

"They were buzzing with happiness and seemed to be having the best day of their lives, as indeed we all were." (C) Cover Media
