Royal wedding dessert predictions

4th February 2011

(Cover) - EN Showbiz - Britains Prince William and Kate Middletons wedding meal will be a traditional English affair, according to a former royal chef.

Prince William proposed to Kate last year while they were on a private holiday in Kenya, and it has since announced that the pair will marry at Westminster Abbey in London, England on Friday April 29.

With feverish speculation surrounding the event, Princess Dianas former chef believes guests will be provided traditional English food for the ceremony. Darren McGrady had an insight into the future Kings palate, cooking for Prince William when he was a child. He confirms that one of the royals favourite dishes was banana flan, which he used to serve to him and his brother Prince Harry at Kensington Palace on special instances.

"On these occasions, William and Harry could eat what they wanted. Two or even three slices of banana flan were perfectly okay as long as 'my boys' are happy that was how the boss thought," he told People magazine. (C) Cover Media
