30th August 2011

(Cover) - EN Showbiz - Russell Armstrong's 911 call has been released.

The heartbreaking conversation with the emergency services operator detail a friend of the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star pleading for help after the father-of-three was found dead.

Russell's estranged wife Taylor Armstrong can be heard hysterically crying in the background as an unknown man asks the 911 operator to send aid urgently.

"My friend just hanged himself, do you understand?" the man says. "Come over here and stop asking questions."

The man can also be heard consoling the reality star who had her five-year-old daughter Kennedy with her.

"Come here Taylor, it's alright. It's alright, it's alright," he told her.

Taylor is then heard saying that she needs her psychiatrist while the man tells her to "have your daughter go away please" as he tried to shield them.

The 911 operator asks if Russell is beyond help but his friend knew that it was already too late for anything to be done.

"No, there's nothing you can do, it's nothing we can do. Just please come as soon as possible," he urged.

Russell committed suicide earlier this year. He was said to have been suffering from financial problems and had recently separated from Taylor.

The 47-year-old financier is survived by two other children from previous relationships. (C) Cover Media
