The British star has made a name for himself as a comedian, presenter and most recently an actor over the years. But he admits his first attempt at fame came when, as a teenager, he aspired to be a music star. However, he now admits his confidence was misplaced as he lacks any discernable talent for the genre.

There was a brief period where, like a lot of adolescents, I succumbed to the fantasy of becoming a rock n roll star. Me and a cousin or two holed ourselves up in a bedroom, but unfortunately we emerged with nothing more than headaches and a mild addiction to marijuana, which has since been beaten. Im not good at music. Ive not got the proper rhythm. I cant do it, he told Collider magazine.

The 35-year-old will next be seen providing the voice for E.B., the teenage son of the Easter Bunny in the CG animated adventure, Hop. Russell believes the films reception may differ depending on which side of the pond you reside.
