The much-talked extravagant wedding of American celebrities Katy Perry and Russell Brand is over at the Ranthambhore National Park in India and the couple has now reportedly flown to Maldives for their honeymoon.

The newly married has reportedly left for Maldives early on Tuesday. R K Singh, the director of Sanganer airport, was quoted saying that Perry and Russel boarded the flight to Maldives around 1430 hrs.

The immigration sources also confirmed that the couple boarded the aircraft and they were dressed in casuals. Katy was reportedly covering her face most of the time.

A source informed that the helicopter was given special permission by the district administration to take off from the helipad. It added that the helicopter took off at about 1 pm and landed again after few minutes. Then, it took off from the same helipad again.

The couple tied the knot in a very private ceremony and kept their honeymoon plan, a secret. Katy and Brand also got engaged in India last year.

After a week-long eventful marriage ceremony as per the Hindu rituals, the celebrity couple really needed a break from the crowd. So, choosing a beautiful island of Maldives was definitely a good choice for them.
