Ryan Seacrest has revealed that he wants to produce shows that have a positive impact on the world.
The American Idol host has a production company which is at the helm of series like Keeping Up With The Kardashians and Jamie Oliver's Food Revolution which went into schools to get better food on the menu.
But the 37-year-old media mogul says that he doesn't want his programmes to just be entertainment but also wants them to be vehicles for change.
"We'll see much more focus on healthy eating in schools and hospitals in the year to come," Ryan told Fortune magazine. "I want to continue to produce shows that directly effect change."
"We've gone too long without addressing issues like child obesity, so to be able to tell those stories and help through television is a powerful thing."
One aspect of his life that Ryan would love to have more of is time, as he balances his many jobs. As well as being E! News and breakfast radio show presenter, he is also boyfriend to actress and singer Julianne Hough.
The blonde beauty said in a recent interview that being in love with Ryan was hard "work" with their busy schedules often keeping them apart.
"I say this all the time, but when it's worth it, you just kind of figure it out," she told Star magazine. "You just make it work."
