SAB Gears Up To Rejoice 63rd Independence Day In Style

13th August 2010

August 13, 2010 (Sampurn Wire): Like many other Indian television channels, the leading family comedy entertainment channel SAB is also preparing to celebrate the day in its own style.

This weekend will have special intertwined episodes of 'Lapataganj', 'FIR' and 'Mrs and Mr Sharma Allahabadwale'.

'Mr Sharma' will be seen concerned about the lack of excitement among his colleagues and neighbors about this big day. So, he takes initiative and hoists a flag in the society and ensures everybody participates in the ceremony. Then, everyone from the society comes out to support him. Kids perform on songs like 'Nanha Munna Rahi Hun' and the elders join in the patriotic number 'Desh Hai Veer Jawanoon Ka'. Viewers will be left with the message that we can easily make out a day for celebrating our independence.

Mrs Sharma a.k.a Divyanka Tripathi, said, "I always go back to the memory lanes of my school days when the Independence Day comes. On this day, we used to perform extracurricular activities, have sweets with friends. I am planning to spend the day at home this year. I will have some good time with family and watch my favorite patriotic movies".

The 'Lapataganj' team also had their part of celebration by hoisting a flag, which is followed by sweet distribution. Unexpectedly, the villagers wake up to find that their light bulb and water taps are working properly on the day. Later, they realize it's because of 'Independence Day'. There will also be an interesting and educating story related to Biji.

In 'FIR', Chandramukhi Chautala, the go-getter Haryanvi cop, will be seen challenging a terrorist.

Kavita Kaushik a.k.a Chandramukhi Chautala said, "I would like to focus on the lack of love and compassion among the Indians. On this occasion, I would like to salute our police force, which helps us during difficult times".
