Be it 'Love Aaj Kal', 'Agent Vinod' or 'Cocktail', Saif Ali Khan has ensured that he always plays the male lead protagonist in his home production movies. However, the actor surprised everyone when he opted to take the back seat for his latest home production 'Go Goa Gone'.

The film which is a zombie-comedy flick, revolves around two characters played by Vir Das and Kunal Khemu and it is only later that Saif in his 'zombie killer' avatar surfaces in the movie.

Commenting on his new approach in his home production, Saif shared that with this project he was more inclined to be a producer than an actor. Saif further shared that he was keen to play Boris (the zombie killer) in the movie although it is not the lead role and he took this as an opportunity to further enhance his skills as a producer.

When asked about the concept of the movie, which to many is a risky proposition, the actor confessed that the genre is surely a foreign concept for the Bollywood audiences. But he feels confident that the movie will connect with the fans as a comedy genre film.

The pragmatic actor, who has done well wearing the producer's hat, added that his goal as always is to entertain his fans with his films and so he turns movie making into a fun experience for himself and his production crew. And although he considers the project to be a calculated risk, he is hoping this concept works with the audiences and ultimately at the box office.

Talking about numbers, the actor shared that with the billion-plus population in India, the 100-crore mark can very well be a 200-crore benchmark soon, which he does not think is an unachievable number. Besides, the actor feels that the Indian films should not just rule Bollywood, but the audiences in the entire Southern Mediterranean belt as well.

Commenting on the A-certificate that the movie has received from the censor board, the actor expressed that he expected it and is in fact happy with them who have allowed the production to retain the shots in the final cut, especially the scenes that show the zombies' heads blowing up.

Directed by duo Raj Nidimoru and Krishna D.K. of '99' and 'Shor In the City' fame, 'Go Goa Gone' is all set to hit the big screens on May 10.
