The Producer has spent a whopping Five Crores on a single set for 'Housefull 2'.
Known for the lavish treatment that he gives to every film he produces, Sajid Nadiadwala has supposedly put in a whopping five crores to reconstruct the famous Burglhey Palace in London at Filmistan Studios, Mumbai for a couple of scenes in his forthcoming venture 'Housefull 2'.
After having sat on the script of the film, like he does with all other NGE productions, the producer wanted to recreate the sets with specific detailing in its structure and palate of colors sparing no cost, since the climax of the film as well as a song has to be shot in the interiors.
Confirms Sajid Khan, "The set is so unbelievably real that I sometimes feel I’m inside the UK castle we shot in August. The primary reason of putting up a set was because of the action and pyrotechnics which obviously were forbidden to do in the real castle as it was a heritage monument."
The producer is no stranger in constructing monstrous sets for his films. The entire town was created on sets for his film 'Mujhse Shaadi Karogi'.
Says producer Sajid Nadiadwala, "All NGE films have been larger than life... And since I’ve sat on almost all the scripts of the films I’ve produced, I do not compromise on aesthetics and visuals that could add to a scene... We’ve spent an approximate five crores for this particular set... In ways I want to discourage piracy, I rather have audiences come to a theatre to watch my films for its larger than life visuals than illegally downloading it.".
Set to release on 5th of April, 2012, Housefull 2 stars Akshay Kumar and Asin Thottumkal in lead roles.
