Salman-Anurag clash over films

28th May 2011

'Dabangg', the blockbuster hit film of 2010 has a national award to its credit, everyone was amazed by its success but the man behind 'Dabangg' is no longer a part of it. Director Abhinav Kashyap's edgy direction and effective execution made 'Dabangg' what it is today. But over some creative differences, Abhinav was not involved in its sequel, as Arbaaz Khan has taken over the Direction. It was even been reported that Abhinav's tentative next film with Salman's rival Shahrukh proved fatal for him as a 'Dabangg' director. Abhinav's elder brother Anurag Kashyap didn't take this news with a pinch of salt and challenged Arbaaz the producer of 'Dabangg' and Salman to make the sequel as successful as the original without Abhinav. But now Anurag is all set to take this clash one step ahead by releasing his much awaited film 'That Girl in Yellow Boots' on the same day when Salman starrer 'Bodyguard' releases.

In an age when film-makers reshuffle their films release dates just to avoid clash with Salman's film, Anurag is instead adamant on releasing his film on the same day. He is confident about his film that has already gained international accolades. Anurag's film 'That girl in Yellow Boots' was showcased in various international festivals where it has been critically acclaimed, whereas 'Bodyguard' has Salman Khan and Kareena Kapoor as its main USP. It would be an interesting clash of titans.
