Salman could get a 10 year jail sentence

1st February 2013

Just when we thought that Salman Khan's hit-and-run case of 2002 was closed for good, the police officials have found another evidence that might prove the actor guilty this time.

Apparently, yesterday the Magistrate Court in Mumbai stated that they have found additional evidence regarding the accident in 2002 that was caused by Salman and they have asked the actor to appear before the Sessions Court on March 11, 2013.

The incident in question, took place on September 28, 2002 when Salman's SUV crashed into a bakery in Mumbai injuring four and killing one person sleeping on the pavement.

Salman was charged under rash and negligent driving, which carries a minimum sentence of two years. But now, the new evidence merits the actor for culpable homicide. And if proved guilty, Salman will face a '10 year sentence in jail'.

On the other hand, it is heard that the actor has gone a step ahead to help cancer patients.

Salman opened a medical camp just outside his house where he has appointed a doctor with two bodygaurds to attend to people who have cancer. The camp is running out of a garden opposite his house in Bandra.

Every morning there is a queue of people with files and medical papers, waiting to be attended by the doctor. The consultation charges are merely Rs. 2 or sometimes nothing at all. This helps the patients with benign cancer to be cured and recovered faster.

But for those who are suffering from malignant cancer are attended to by Salman himself.

The star has been associated with cancer help for almost 13 years and he has not stopped working on it ever since.

2012 was a very lucky year for Salman, let's see what 2013 has in store for him.
