The hush hush film, 'Prem Ratan Dhan Payo' starring Salman Khan and Sonam Kapoor has won the Diwali slot this year for its release on November 11, 2015.

The film is the directorial venture of Sooraj Barjatya, who started his film career with blockbusters like 'Maine Pyar Kiya' and 'Hum Aapke Hain Koun'. Salman returns to the big screen as Prem after 16 years of gap.

Last year, Shah Rukh Khan's film, 'Happy New Year' was released on Diwali, October 24, 2014. The growing grapevine is the competition to crack glamorous slots and the box office contest between Khans.
