(Cover) - EN Showbiz - Sam Riley has been breaking laws left, right and centre.
The British star gained acclaim for his portrayal of late Joy Division singer Ian Curtis in 2007 film Control, which charted the struggles of the English rock band. He also features in an adaptation of Jack Kerouacs novel On the Road, the story of a failing writers journeys across the US, which is set for release this year.
The 31-year-old doesnt take life too seriously, and enjoys having fun with his pals. Sometimes he takes things a bit too far though, as he recently admitted.
Last night, probably, he replied, when Q asked when he last did something illegal. Just a bit of... erm, well nothing, you know, its legal in some countries. Legal in Holland? Yeah, exactly. Good guess. And I wasnt wearing my seatbelt in the taxi this afternoon. Im breaking laws left, right and centre. But I shouldnt be telling you all this. Ive got an image to maintain for the kids.
Sams portrayal of Ian boosted his career no end, and he was praised for the way he got under the characters skin. He still gets asked to do impressions of the musician who killed himself in 1980 by friends and family, and always obliges. (C) Cover Media
