Mani Ratnam's next film 'Kadal' which had a major part of the film shot with Samantha Ruth Prabhu will have to go through the shooting all over again.

Well, the reason is because Samantha has opted out of the movie which has come as a surprise to all. The news is that, she has got too many offers including films to be directed by Venkat Prabhu and Shankar; and also Mani Ratnam mentioned that she looked a bit older than the lead character, Gautham.

Now, the buzz is that Mani Ratnam is considering to rope in Thulasi, younger daughter of Radha as Samantha's replacement. The film will now have to be re-shot and its release will have to be delayed further.

The movie has Lakshmi Manchu and Arvind Swamy playing important roles in this movie which is set in the backdrop of a fishing village. A. R. Rahman is composing the music and Rajiv Menon is the cinematographer.

Well, guess the delay in the movie release will delay our excitement as well.
